Anchorages at Ra and Pra Tong Islands are possible both in the strait between the mainland islands and to the west of the islands.
1 - Anchorage in the strait between the islands and the mainland is excellent shelter for yachts in all seasons. It is safest approached from the north through a channel where the depths are deep enough. Anchor at a depth of 6-10 meters. Holding is good on the muddy bottom. Half a mile away there is a pier to which you can moor at high tide. In the village you can refuel with water. there is a small restaurant. The channel between the islands of Ra and Pra Tong is not passable by yacht. You can go south on the channel between Pra Tong Island and the mainland but with caution because there is a small rock in the middle of the channel.
2 - The west coast of both islands has several long sandy beaches opposite where yachts can be anchored on the sandy bottom. Approach from the west to depths suitable for anchorage.
