St. Paul Bay (San-Pawl il-Bahar) is located in north-eastern of Malta Island, three miles from the northern tip of the island and seven miles from Valletta.
Yacht anchorages in St. Paul Bay are possible practically all over the bay, except on the south-south-eastern shore where anchoring is prohibited. However, the most comfortable anchorages, with prevailing north-westerly winds, are off the north-western shore of the bay in Mistra Bay (il Qala tal-Mistra), in the unnamed bay immediately north-east of it and in the middle of the south-south-eastern shore of St. Paul Island. Anchor in depths of 5-15 metres. The bottom is sand and silt. Holding is good. There are numerous mooring buoys owned by locals.
On the shore there is a modern resort town with restaurants, bars and shops.
