Yacht anchorage in Marsaxlokk Bay

Marsaxlokk Bay is located on the south-east of Malta Island in a fairly large enclosed bay.

Marsaxlokk fishport itself is located in the shallow northern part of Marsaxlokk Bay. It cannot be entered by yacht. The anchorage is in the middle of the bay, north of the fish farms, in depths of 2-6 metres. The seabed is sandy with patches of seaweed. Holding is good. Shelter for yachts here is good in all winds, except in the south.

The shallow part of the bay is filled with colourful local fishing boats.

Marsaxlokk is the island's main fishing village, with many restaurants, including fish restaurants, a couple of supermarkets, a farmer's market and a fish market.
