Gozo is the second largest island in the Maltese archipelago. The main town is Victoria (called Rabat until 1887).
Gozo's landscape is characterised by flat-topped hills. There are no rivers on the island, only dry riverbeds. There is an inland sea, a lagoon bay connected to the high water by a tunnel in the rocks. The island's shores are mostly steep cliffs. The exception is a few small sandbanks which form beaches.
There is one marina and several bays where yachts can be anchored.
Gozo isn't as packed with attractions as Malta, but there is plenty to see here too.
