While sailing around the islands and the coast of Saronikos and Argolikos Gulfs, yachtsmen can not only enjoy the sea, the wind, the sails, but also see many attractions of Greece.
Of course, the main attraction of this region is the Acropolis of Athens. For those travelling on charter yachts rented in Athens, I recommend adding 1-2 days to the rental period for visit to sightseeing of Athens and its surroundings.
On the Peninsula of Peloponnesus, you can visit the ancient Greek theater of the Peloponnesus Epidaurus, the best known and most well-preserved theater of ancient Greece, located near Palaia Epidavros, where you can keep your yacht without worrying about its safety.
Archaeology lovers will be interested to visit the ancient Mykenes, excavated by Heinrich Schliemann. The closest to them is the ancient capital of Greece, now a large city and a convenient port of Naplion.
There are many pretty old towns on the islands of Aegina, Poros, Hydra and Spetses.
On the west coast of Argolikos Gulf the most interesting place is Monemvasia with the old town on a small peninsula.
