The area of Saronkos and Argolikos Gulfs is one of the most popular areas for yachting in Greece.
This is primarily due to the fact that Saronikos Gulf is home to Athens, the capital of Greece, where the Alimos Marina is located and where the bareboat charter companies are based. Yachts with crew are based at Athens in this and other marinas: Zea Marina, Flisvos Marina and Falirou Marina.
Athens is the starting and finishing point for sailing trips to Saronkos and Argolikos Gulfs and Cyclades. Yacht trips in this area are great because you can sail here in almost any weather and the islands are no less interesting than on Cyclades.
The most interesting places in the Gulf of Saronkos are the islands of Aegina and Poros and, on the mainland coast, the peninsula of Methana and Epidavros.
In the Gulf of Argolikos, Hydra and Spetses islands should be visited, on the coast of the Gulf are Porto Heli, Monemvasia, Leonidia and Naplio.
