Aspri is a small bay about half a mile to east of Skala Harbor. The bay is also known as Kyma. The bay is unnamed on the Navionics chart.
Aspri bay is fairly well sheltered from Meltemi. It is a convenient anchorage away from the noise of the harbor, but Skala is easily accessible either by dinghy or by foot (about 20 minutes). The bottom is mostly covered with seaweed, but there are some good patches of sand where you can be anchored at a depth of about 5 meters.
We must keep in mind, this is a permanent day stop for large tourist gulets, which tend to anchor in the middle of the bay, or take mooring lines from the stern to the rocks to the west. There is good Kyma tavern on the shore.
