Yacht mooring at the buoys in Agios Nicholaos Bay on Thirasia Island

St. Nicholas Bay (Ormos Agios Nikolaos) is located on the west side of the small island of Tirasia, a mile south-west of the north-western tip of Santorini.

The mooring buoys are located at the north part of the bay. It is a good shelter from Meltemi. The discomfort is created by the waves from passing ferries and cruise ships. The buoy can be reserved in advance by calling +30 697 465 0720 (Manolis). The price of mooring is 50 euros per day.

The ferry departs to Fira at 7:40. In the evening it returns back. The price is 3 euros per person one way. On the shore are several tavernas, which close at 19:00. On the mountain is a typical Greek village with almost no tourists. There are 3 restaurants, a small grocery store and a bakery that bakes wood-fired bread in the village.
