The yacht anchorage at the pier of Oia Village is located inside the horseshoe on the north-west side of Santorini Island.

To open Navionics chart of yacht mooring at the pier of Oia village on the island of Santorini. Cyclades. Greece

In my opinion this is the most comfortable anchorage for yachts on Santorini Island, although a certain discomfort is created by ferries constantly passing by, which create quite a big waves. On Navionics charts the depths here are shown much lower than real, so to moor yacht to the pier you need to have a long rope (50 meters or more), which is attached to a large barrel in front of the pier. The boat should be pulled away from the pier as far as possible in order to avoid the possibility of contact between the yacht and the pier when a wave comes from passing ferries.

Next to the pier there is a small restaurant with delicious homemade Greek food. From the pier up to the town of Phoenicia there is a road (or rather a wide trail) where locals used to take tourists to Oia on donkeys and small horses. The year around 2010, the road was partially destroyed by a landslide. It was later rebuilt.

In addition to the pier near Oia village, there are several private buoys on which you can moored, but if the owner comes, you will have to vacate the buoy.
