Black Beach is located in the south of Santorini, 0.8 miles east-south-east of Cape Akrotiri.
Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 3-10 m. The bottom is sand and stones. On the sand the anchor holds well. The best shelter from Meltemi is in the north-western part of the bay. There are mooring buoys scattered here. They belong to commercial catamarans delivering tourists to Black Beach. The catamarans leave the buoys in the evening and you can use it at the night, but in the morning you will need to leave the buoys.
There is a beautiful beach with black sand at the foot of very high cliffs.
