The bay and village of Vathi is located on the west coast 2 miles from the southern tip of the island.
In Vathi, yachts can be moored to a small concrete pier on the north side of the bay. Depths at the south end of the pier are 2.5-3.0 meters. Yachts are moored stern to the pier at their anchor or, if there is enough space, alongside.
You can also be anchored along the shores of the bay at depths of 3-10 meters. The bottom is sand and patches of seaweed. Holding is good. The bay shelters yachts well from all winds, except westerly.
There are several taverns and a mini-market in the village.
