Punat is a town and harbor in the large but shallow bay of Puntarska Draga in the north-eastern part of Krk Bay.  The bay is well sheltered from all winds and waves.

Punat is a popular seaside resort. The main activities of the inhabitants are: agriculture, viticulture, olive growing and oil production, fishing, tourist services, shipbuilding and service to yachts and yachtsmen.

Punat Yacht Marina is located on the east coast of Puntarska Draga Bay.

The marina has an administration office, an exchange office, a self-service store, a general store, a chipchandler's store, a snack bar, two restaurants and an hotel, a captains club (restaurant, yacht club, medical service, sailing school), toilets and showers with hot water, a parking for 500 cars. - Slipway 1 with electro-hydraulic drive, capacity up to 150 tonnes.
- Slips 2,3 for many-hulled vessels, 450 ton capacity.
- Slip 4 with electrically powered, 600 ton capacity.
- Every 40 meters there are compressed air, acetylene, oxygen, water and electricity connections.
- There are enclosed areas and boat sheds with a total area of 2800 sq.m. It is also possible to install tents over the slips and in the service area.
