Vela Luka is located on the southern coast of the island of Krk immediately south-west of the eastern tip of the island..
Usually yachts are anchored in the head of the bay at depths of 3-10 meters. The seabed is sand. Holding is good. It is possible to take mooring lines ashore. The bay is well sheltered from the waves from all directions, except southeast. However it can be windy here due to the topography.
At the head of the bay there is a small pier, which you can approach by dinghy, a sandy beach and a restaurant. During high season, tourist boats and many water taxes come here during the day. It gets noisy.
