Solta Island is located 10 miles south-west of the city of Split next to the large Brac island, from which it is separated by a channel only half a mile wide. Solta is a relatively small island of about 60 square kilometers.
Solta Island has three harbors, well equipped for yachts visit. They are Rogac, Masljanica and Stomorska. In addition, the island has several sheltered anchorages along the coast of the island.
Historically, the prosperity of the island depends on fishing, winemaking and olive oil exports, but today the island is developing mainly due of tourism, including yachting. Charter yachts, rented in Split, Kastela and Trogir, are often to visit Solta.
