Yacht anchorage at Cape Teno

Cape Teno (Punta de Teno) is the western tip of Tenerife. The anchorage is located half a mile to east of the cape.

Anchor is at the depth of 12-15 meters, where the sand begins. Closer to the shore the bottom is stony and the anchor will not hold. Some people consider this anchorage dangerous because there are rocky on the bottom and when strong north-west and north-east winds are blowing, there may be some swell. However, with the right weather and right choice the point of anchorage, it is a good place to stay overnight.
