Yacht anchorage in Turtle Bay

Turtle Bay (La Caleta de Las Tortugas) is located on the south-west coast of Tenerife.

In Turtle Bay, yachts are anchored at a depth of 5-8 meters in the middle of the bay on the sandy bottom. Holding is good. In the north-eastern part of the bay there are many buoys, on which local boats are moored. Do not try to be anchored between the buoys.

Earlier, in the bay permanently inhabited a colony of green turtles, which a few years ago was removed to the island of Homer, where the habitat is more suitable for them. But even today you can still see the green turtle in the bay.
