Kale Island (Kale Adasi) is located in the middle of Orhaniye Bay of Hisaroeneu Gulf.
Yachts can be anchored in the strait between Kale Island and the southwest shore of Orhaniye Bay at depths of 3-10 meters. The bottom is muddy. Holding is good. The second option of anchorage is in the bay to the north-west of the island. Anchor is given at a depth of 7-12 meters. The bottom is muddy. Holding is good. Usually yachts here are anchored with a stretch to the shore. Beware of underwater rocks in the very western corner of the bay. The rocks are marked on the Navionics map.
At the southeastern end of Kale Island on the mountain are the ruins of a Byzantine castle.
