The ancient Greek port of Knidos is on the western tip of the Datca Peninsula.
There are several options for mooring in Knidos Harbor.
1 - moored at the restrant pier in the northwest part of the bay
2 - at anchor in any part of the bay depending on the length of your yacht's anchor chain
3 - At anchor with a lines to the shore in the southwest part of the harbor
The last option is the most interesting becouse this wayare moored ancient Greek ships here. If you look closely you will find steps carved in the rock and descending under the water. The anchor in this case of mooring should be thrown at a depth of 10-15 m.
Yacht skippers should be careful when entering the harbor between the old breakwater from the southwest and the shore from the north-northeast. From the mainland there is a rocky ridge (this was probably once the second breakwater covering the harbor from the southeast), which is note on the Navionics charts.
