Yacht anchorage in Ampelakia Bay

Ampelakia Bay (Ormos Ampelakia) is located on the east coast of Kastos immediately to south of the port of Kastos. On the maps the cove is unnamed. We call it by the name of the beach in it.

Yachts are anchored all around the bay at depths of 5-15 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. It is not always possible to anchored on the first try. The bay shelters yachts well from the prevailing north-westerly winds but is open to southerly and easterly winds. Anchoring here is a good alternative to Kastos Fishport. The nearest tavern is a 3 minute walk away.
