Fishport and village of Kastos are located on the east coast of Kastos Island less than two miles from the southern tip.
Kastos Fishport is the only harbor on the island and it fills up quickly during the high season, when charter yachts become numerous in the waters of the Inland Sea.
The yacht has four mooring options, depending of the arrival time and draught of the yacht:
1 - Stern or bow to the south breakwater at own anchor. Depths at the pier range from 1.5 m at the root to 3.5 - 4.0 m at the outer end. The quay is equipped with mooring brackets. There is space for 12 yachts. Note that the corner at the root of the breakwater is rocky and shallow.
2 - Stern or bow to the north breakwater. At a depth of 3.5 meters there are for two or three yachts, but you can not approach close to the breakwater because of the presence of stones.
3 - Stern to the beach on the west side of the harbor. Anchor at a depth of 3.0 to 4.0 meters. You need to take long mooring lines ashore to the staples or lampposts along the waterfront. There is mooring space for eight or nine yachts.
4 - At anchor at the entrance to the harbor at a depth of 3.5 - 4.5 meters. No more than 2-3 yachts can be anchored here, and as a rule, it is impossible to use more than 35 meters of anchor chain.
5 - At anchor near the harbor in steady calm weather.
An anchor in the harbor does not hold very well in hard sand, so it is recommended to use as much chain as possible and check anchor before leaving the boat.
