Yachts can be moored to the outer side of the breakwater covering the shallow harbor with fishing boats. The depth at the waterfront and the breakwater is about 4-5 meters (inside of the fishing harbor breakwater is 2-2.5 meters deep, but the harbor is completely filled with fishing boats).

It is reported that at a distance of about 60 meters from the waterfront there is a heavy chain on the seabed, for which yachts sometimes cling their anchors. Pygadia becomes a very uncomfortable mooring place when the prevailing winds are greater than five Beaufort.

A new "mini-marina" was built on the west side of the harbor. The marina has moorings lines, water and electricity, but it is almost entirely filled with local yachts and there is little chance of finding free berth here.

Warning: the harbor is subject to very strong wind gusts, and it can be uncomfortable and even dangerous during Meltemi .
