Finiki or Foiniki is located on the west coast of Karpathos, six miles north of the southern tip of the island.
Finiki is the only small harbor in south-western Karpathos, sheltered by a breakwater, which provides very relative shelter from Meltemi and no protection from southerly winds.
Theoretically it is possible to anchorage yachts by the south quay, stern or bow, but the depths by the quay are 2 to 2.5 meters, so only shallow sailing yachts can be anchored here. In calm weather, yachts can be anchored at the entrance to the harbor, take a long mooring lines from stern to the shore.
Finiki is a very attractive place, but it is not sheltered, so you can only anchor here in consistently quiet weather. There are several bars, restaurants and souvenir shops on shore.
