Levitha and Kinaros Islands

Levitha and Kinaros Islands are located in the north-western part of the Dodecanese Archipelago, 16 miles south-south-west of Patmos, 20 miles west of Kalymnos and 20 miles north of Astepalaia.

The islands are almost uninhabited. Only one family lives on Levitha, which farms livestock and opens a small tavern in high season for visiting yachtsmen and fishermen.

There are good anchorages on the islands, providing to yachts shelter from the Meltemi. There are few bases providing to yachts from the south winds on Levitha.

There are many goats on Levitha, and you can have a very pleasant long walk. At the top of the island is an abandoned Italian World War II fortress.
