Kaminakia Bay is located in the southern half of the western part of Astypalaia Island.

Yachts can be anchored in the northern part of the bay at a depth about 10 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. On the sand the anchor holds good. Good shelter from Meltemi, but because of the topography there are strong gusts of wind.

In the north-west of the bay, there is a beach, which is approached by road, so it is quite lively in summer. There is a tavern and a bar on the beach.
