Sibenik

Sibenik is a Croatian city in the central part of the Adriatic coast, at the confluence of Krka River into the Adriatic Sea. There are two main mooring places for yachts in Sibenik - near the waterfront at the old town and in Mandalina Yacht Marina.

There are a few charter companies offering yachts for rent in Mandalina Yacht Marina. You can rent bareboat yachts here as well as yachts with crew or with a skipper.

The town is located in a long (about 5 miles) bay stretching from north-west to south-east just opposite the entrance to the bay through the Sveti Ante Channel. The channel is shallow, replete with shoals, but all dangers are marked by navigational seamarks that skippers of yachts need to keep a close eye on. In the Sveti Ante Channel itself, the fairway is also marked with navigational seamarks. Leaving the fairway is not recommended. The traffic in the canal is very heavy and although there is a speed limit on the canal (4 knots), it is rarely respected and passing ships sometimes create very unpleasant waves.
