The islands of the Kornati archipelago lie off the Croatian mainland coast, 20 miles south of the city of Zadar, surrounded by the islands of Dugi Otok to the north, Murter to the north-east and Girje to the south-east. The group includes more than 140 islands and islets of all sizes over an area of nearly 85 square miles. Most of the islands are part of Kornati National Park (the notable exception is Zut Island).
Because Kornati Archipelago and its surrounding waters are a national park, you can stop only in designated bays, usually equipped with buoys and you will have to pay for mooring. Mooring for a 40-foot yacht will cost 30-35 euros. The only marina of the archipelago is located on the island of Piskera - ACI Marina Piskera.
