Zaton Bay is located on the Croatian mainland coast 2 miles north-west of Dubrovnik.
In Zaton Bay, yachts usually are anchored in one of two spots.
The first is opposite the village of Veli Zaton, located on the west shore of the bay at a distance of 0.3 miles from the entrance to the bay. Anchor at a depth of 5-10 meters on the sandy bottom. Holding is good. There is a beach, restaurants, a small supermarket, and a bus to Dubrovnik.
The second is located at the northern end of the bay Zaton. This part of the bay has its own name - Uvala Batala. Anchor is at a depth of 5-15 on the mud and sandy bottom. Holding is good. There is a nice restaurant on the shore.
If you have rented a charter yacht in ACI marina Dubrovnik and the chack in is delayed until evening, Zaton Bay is a suitable place to reach from the marina in less than an hour on Saturday evening.
