Jakljan, the largest of the uninhabited islands of the Elaphiti archipelago, is located to the west of Sipan Island. The island stretches from south-east to north-west for 2.8 miles. The maximum width of the island is 0.7 miles at the south-east end. The shoreline is fairly smooth. The island has several bays suitable for anchoring yachts.
The island was once inhabited. It still has a children's resort building and a church.
