Chatham Bay is located on the west side of Union Island.
Yachts are anchored all around Chatham Bay at depths of 3-10 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. The anchor holds good on the sand.
Shelter from the dominant winds and waves is good. Because of the topography of the mountains surrounding the bay, strong gusts of wind are possible.
There are a few restaurants on the shore where they cook lobster. You can also buy lobster from the fishermen who travel between the yachts and cook lobster yourself. There is good snorkeling in the northern part of the bay.
