Pitons Bay (Anse Des Pitons) is located on the west coast of Saint Lucia, 10 miles north-west of the southern tip of the island.
Pitons Bay is located between the two mountains Petit Piton and Grand Piton. The bay has many mooring buoys along the beach. The bay shelters yachts well from the prevailing easterly winds and waves. However, due to the topography, there are often strong gusts of wind here. The buoys closer to the shore are most exposed to wind gusts.
The buoys belong to the National Marine Park. The fee (about 50 ECD) for mooring is paid to rangers. The quality of mooring buoy is not always high. There are many boaters in the bay who will try to help you moor and require a fee. They also sell fish, lobster, and fruit.
Pitons Bay is probably the most beautiful on Saint Lucia.
