On the western shore of Bayındır Bay, there are well-preserved Lycian tombs from the port-city of Saba. Today it is known that the city called Saba includes the hills of Bakhtyz and Kavgar in the area known as the port of Bayındır. The city was formed around a safe bay.
It was a small peasant village belonging to the Lycian period, with sarcophagi, rock tombs, cisterns, and oil workshops.
The stone tombs of the Lycian type carved in natural stone date from the 4th century. On the seashore are found the remains of buildings that were used as storage facilities and may have been associated with the port. There is an open-air Sanctuary on the terrace, which was formed by flattening natural rock with sarcophagi and niches.
It is assumed that the ruins of the building above Kavgar-Tepe, through which the ancient road passed, was a watchtower. Around the tower there are sarcophagi dating back to the Lycian and Roman periods.
The path to the tombs is quite steep and difficult in some places.
