Oludeniz

Oludeniz literally means the Dead Sea, because of its calm waters even during storms. The official name of the place is Blue Lagoon. It is a small village and beach resort in Fethiye area of Mugla province, at the junction point of Aegean and Mediterranean Sea. It's located 9 miles south of Fethie, near the Babadag Mountain.

Speaking of Oludeniz, yachtsmen usually mean not just the Blue Lagoon itself, but the entire bay of Belcegiz Kofezi.

Olyudeniz is one of the most photographed beaches in the Mediterranean Sea. It is a secluded sandy cove at estuary of the river Oludeniz. The beach itself is pebbly. Blue Lagoon is a national reserve, and building here is strictly forbidden. The sea water in the Blue Lagoon is famous for its shades of turquoise and aquamarine, and the beach has the Blue Flag and is often ranked among the top five beaches in the world by travelers and travel magazines.
