Kas

Kas (Kas means eyebrow) is a city and port on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, the center of the district of the same name in Antalya Province. It is located at one of the southernmost points of the Teke Peninsula in Turkey 50 miles south-east of Fethie. The closest shelter for yacht is in Kalkan 10 miles to the west.

There are no crowds of tourists in Kas due to not good transport accessibility. It is 180 kilometers from Dalaman airport and 192 kilometers from Antalya airport. But yachtsmen come here not so seldom, though in comparison with a part of the coast of Turkey Fethiye - Bodrum, here there are less yachts.

Kas is located at the east end of a long narrow bay stretching from west to east. There is a good yacht marina in the town and a few yacht anchorages in the bay.

In the area around Kash you can always find safe anchorage for your yacht appropriated to the current winds.
