The bay and the village of Gumusluk is located on the western tip of the Bodrum Peninsula.
Yachts can have mooring at the T-shaped pier on the eastern shore of Gumusluk Bay. The depth at the pier is about six meters. The pier has water and electricity. During the high season the pier is packed with local yachts and tourist boats. So the best desision is achorage in the bay. In this case you can go to the village by dingy. Yachts can anchorage at a depth of 3-15 meters. The bottom is muddy and seaweed. Holding is good. The bay is well protected from meltemi but in case of southerly winds a wave will enter to the bay, which will make the anchorage of the yacht inconvenient.
The village has many bars and restaurants with different cuisines (from hamburgers to traditional Turkish cuisine and fish restaurants). There is a large Migros supermarket.
When entering the bay one should be wary of the ruined ancient pier stretching from the western coast of the bay towards the island of Tavsan Ada (Rabbit Island).
