Bodrum

Bodrum is a city in the province of Mugla on the north of the Gokova Gulf in the Aegean Sea opposite the Greek island of Kos.

Milas-Bodrum International Airport is located 35 km from Bodrum. Bodrum is connected by ferry to the Greek island of Kos.

In ancient times on the site of Bodrum was the city of Halicarnassus - the capital of Caria. Modern Bodrum has been counting its history since 1402 when the Rhodes Knights Hospitaller founded the castle of St. Peter here which to this day remains the main attraction.

There is a yacht marina in Bodrum where several charter companies providing bareboat yachts for rent.
