Butterfly Valley is located in a small cove three miles south of the Blue Lagoon. You can enter the cove by boat and anchor offshore with or without lihes ashore.
It is said that the valley used to be crawling with butterflies but now it is teeming with tourists, and there are no more butterflies here than anywhere else in Turkey. But the place is really beautiful - in the west there is a white sandy beach the whole width of the bay, in the north and south there are rocks with many grottos. From the yacht you can take a dingy on the beach and walk deep into the narrowing gorge, which ends with a small waterfall.
The walk is not long - a kilometer there and a kilometer back. You can sit at a bar on the shore. In the bay with a high enough probability you can see large turtles. It is preferable to come to the Valley of Butterflies early by yacht as starting from about ten in the morning the gardens deliver tourists and by noon the bay can be crowded.
