The north-western coast of Sardinia stretches 70 nautical miles from Cape Falcone in the west to Cape Marmorata in the east. The largest town and port on the northern coast of Sardinia is Porto Torres. The second ferry port on the coast is Santa Teresa Gallura - ferries from the neighboring Corsica island come here. In the area of Santa Teresa Gallura is the narrowest part of the strait between Corsica and Sardinia - less than seven nautical miles.
There are several marinas on the north coast of Sardinia: Stintino, Porto Torres, Porto di Castelsardo, Isola Rossa, Porto Santa Teresa Gallura, Porto Pozzo. There are many places on the coast suitable for anchorage, but they are mostly suitable for daytime anchorages in calm, stable weather.
On the west side of the north coast off Asinara Island there are a few buoy anchorages. The island itself and the surrounding waters are the Asinara National Park with special regulations.
You can rent a charter yacht for a trip along the northern coast of Sardinia in Portisco or Olbia on Sardinia or in Bonifacio on Corsica. The yacht can be rented either sailing or motorized, with or without crew.
