Asinara National Park is located in the north-west of Sardinia and consists of the large island of Asinara, two smaller islands (Piana and Pelosa) and many smaller islets and rocks.
The rules of anchorage of yachts are regulated by the reserve . The use of anchors is strictly prohibited. Paid mooring buoys are available at several locations. Access to the buoys for motor yachts is possible through marked channels.
It is possible to use dinghies with outboard motor to go ashore at Fornelli, Cala Real, Cala d'Aliva. The maximum speed allowed is 3 knots.
Yacht anchorages off the island of Asinara
1 - Fornelli 40° 59,203'N, 008° 13,984'E - 8 buoys
2 - Cala Reale 41°03.680'N, 008°17.424'E - 24 buoys
3 - Cala Barche Napoletane (Punta Trabuccato) 41° 03.432'N, 008° 19.894'E - 8 buoys for sailing yachts only.
4 - Ponte Bianco 41° 04.426'N, 008° 20.330'E - 8 buoys for sailing yachts only.
5 - Cala d'Oliva 41° 04.777'N, 008° 20.239'E - 5 buoys.
Yacht anchorages south of Asinara Island
6 - Piana 40° 58.435'N, 008° 13.433'E - anchorage of yachts at the bay on the east of the island. Anchor at 4-5 m on sand and rocks.
Danger: yellow buoy marks the shoal at the south-east end of Piana Island.
7 - Passo della Pelosa 40° 57.712'N, 008° 13.468'E. Excellent anchorage with clear turquoise waters that can rival tropical beaches (provided the winds are suited).
Danger: unmarked shoal (1.3 m) north-east of anchorage.
