Castelsardo (Porto di Castelsardo) is located in almost the middle of the northern coast of Sardinia, 15 miles east of the island's second largest port, Porto Torres. The anchorage is on the east side of the small peninsula on which Castello dei Doria is located.
For a secure anchorage it is necessary to find one of several small sandy seabeds at a depth about 5 meters. In calm weather they are clearly visible. The anchorage is open to north and east winds, but even with a west wind there will be ripples.
When you go ashore on dinghy you should keep in mind that in front of the beach there is a stone shelf at a depth of 0.2-0.3 meters. It is necessary to raise the outboard and approach on oars.
There is an interesting castle on the shore. Many restaurants, bars, stores, CONAD supermarket.
