Cape Longa is located in the middle of the south coast of Favignana Island.
West of Cape Longa there are several fields of mooring buoys belonging to the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area. Most of the buoys are installed in the bay between Cape Longa and Isolotto Preveto. When approaching these buoys from the south, beware of rocks and shoals in the center of the entrance to the bay. The bay is open to southerly winds.
Another group of buoys is set at Isolotto Preveto.
All these buoys are located in the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area, which can be visited with a special permit. Non-residents of Italy can get it online on the official website of the National Park. There you should also check the rules for the different areas of the Egadi Islands Marine Protected Area, in particular the possibility of anchoring yachts on their own anchor. The rules change all the time.
There is a restaurant, bar and dive center on the shore at the root of the peninsula ending at Cape Longa. From here to the town of Favignana by road two kilometers. There are buses in the summer.
