Yacht mooring at Scala Nova on Marettimo Island

The port of Skala Nova is located on the northeastern coast of Marettimo Island near the village of Marettimo. The place is also known as Big Game Marina.

Skala Nova is a small harbor near the village of Marettimo on the east side of the island. Yachts are moored stern or bow to a long pontoon inside the harbor. The pontoon can accommodate up to 80 yachts. Depths range from 1.5 meters at the inner end of the pontoon to 4.5 meters at the outer end. The maximum allowable length of yachts is 30.0 meters. Water and electricity on the pontoon. The harbor is open to south-east winds. 

There are bars, restaurants and a supermarket on the shore.
