Yacht mooring on buoys off Achi Trezza

The town of Aci Trezza is located on the east coast of Sicily, 5 miles north-east of Catania.

The mooring buoy field off Achi Trezza is located in the eastern part of the bay west of Cyclops Rocks. A total of 63 buoys have been installed. The buoys are mainly for small local boats, but yachts up to 13 meters in length can be moored on the outer buoys. Mooring here can be recommended in consistently calm weather or in northerly winds. Beautiful view of the Cyclops Islands.

There is also a field of mooring buoys to the west of the bay at Achi Castle, but only small local boats are moored there. There are known cases of yachts anchored between this buoy field and the castle, but it seems to be illegal.

There are restaurants, bars and stores in the town. It is interesting to visit Aci Castle.
