The small town and port of Kyparissia is located on the west coast of the Peloponnese Peninsula, 30 miles south-east of the port of Kathakolon.
In Kyparissia, yachts are most often moored alongside to the northeast breakwater, depths of which are 2.5-4.5 meters. Shallow draft yachts can be moored with their stern or bow to the outer side of the pier, extending to the south-west from the north-east breakwater.
The harbor is sheltered from the prevailing north-westerly winds by the breakwater, but when the winds from the north are strong, there is unpleasant swell in the harbor.
There are a couple of taverns near the harbor. Most of the taverns, bars, and stores are located along the main street and near the main square of the town.
