The unfinished marina and commercial port of Pylos are located at the entrance to the large bay of Navarinoг, 20 miles south of Kyparissia.

The shelter for the yachts in the marina is good. The bottom of the marina is very cluttered, so you should not try anchoring at your own anchor - there is a high chance of getting hooked an anchor. From the marina to the city is a 5 minute walk.

Mooring yacht in the port is also a possible option, but the port is usually overcrowded with commercial vessels. In addition, there is almost always an unpleasant wave in the port.

As an alternative, you can be anchored in Navarinou Bay. Note that the southern part of the bay has a rocky bottom and anchorage is very poor. In the northern part of the bay the bottom is sandy.

It is important to note that the entrance to Navarinou Bay is only to the south of the island of Sfaktiria. In the northern passage the depths are less than 1 meter.
