Yacht anchorage in Marathounta Bay

Marathounta Bay is located on the east coast of Simi Island, 3,5 miles south-south-east of Symi harbor (7 miles by sea).

Yachts are anchored in the western part of the bay at a depth of 5-20 meters. The bottom is sandy. Holding is good. Good shelter from Meltemi, but there are strong gusts of wind.

There is a small resort village on the shore, a pebble beach. There is a tavern. A lot of cheeky goats on the beach.
