Yacht anchorage off Gaidharos Island

The small island of Gaidharos (Nisos Gaidharos) is located off the east coast of Syros, 1.5 miles south-east of Ermoupolis. The anchorage is located on the south-east of the island in Megali Agkali bay.

Yachts are anchored in the center of the bay at depths of 3-6 meters. Bottom is a thin layer of sand on flat stone slabs. Possible take mooring lines to the shore. Good protection from Meltemi. For a good holding, give more anchor chain.

There is a sandy beach and a couple of temporary huts on the beach. Abandoned lighthouse at 15 minutes walk from the beach.
