Yacht anchorage in Marmara bay

Marmara Bay (Ormos Marmara) is located on the east coast of Paros island 6.5 miles north-east of the southern tip of the island.

Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 5-10 meters. The bottom is sandy. Holding is good. The bay is open to the east and it is unsuitable for anchorage in winds from north-east to south-east.

In the south-west corner of the bay there is a tiny fishport where you can leave your dinghy. There is a tavern at 150 meters from the fishport.

The west shore of the bay is a large sandy beach with a windsurfing school.
