Yacht anchorage in Karthaia

Karthaia is located on the south-east coast of Kea Island, 3.5 miles to from its southern tip.

Yachts are anchored most often in the eastern part of the bay at depths of 3-5 meters. The bottom is rocks and sand. Holding is good on the sand. Good shelter from Meltemi. It is recommended to take lines from stern to the east side of the bay. Beware of rocks between the small island and the shore.

On the shore of the bay are archaeological excavations of ancient Karthaia.
