Piazza Square
The Pano Piazza Square is situated in Chora, the capital of Serifos. Chora hovers on the side of a mountain, overlooking the large harbor.
Church of Agios Konstantinos
The picturesque chapel is located at the top of Kastro, on the highest spot of Chora (251m). Its location provides an amazing view of the sea and the close islands. Small in size and white in color, this chapel was renovated in 1928.
Old Mines
The mines of Serifos, which have now been abandoned, provided an important income to the inhabitants of the island till 1964, when they closed. They also worked in ancient times.
Monastery of Taxiarches
The Monastery of Taxiarches is the most important on the island. Located about 10 km north of Chora, the monastery was founded around 1600 and its architecture looks like a fortress.
Archeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum is located in Chora, the capital of the island. It exhibits mostly Hellenistic and Roman antiquities, such as parts of temples, funeral columns, and statues.
Grias Castle
The old and ruined Castle of Grias is situated above Koutalas Serifos. The name of the castle means the Castle of the Old Woman and it is constructed on a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Cave of Koutalas
The cave of Koutalas, also known as the cave of Cyclops, is located to the west of Koutalas beach, on the south western part of Serifos island. The cave was unknown for centuries until it was accidentally discovered in 1893 by miners
Folklore Museum
The Folklore Museum in Chora displays photographs, agricultural tools, mines from the island and generally items that present life on Serifos till a few decades ago.
