The town of Vodice is located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, six miles north-west of Sibenik. Formerly a small fishing village, the town has expanded with the building of several big hotels and a ACI Yacht Marina. Today Vodice is one of the most lively resorts of the central part of the Adriatic coast of Croatia.
The old town of Vodice is located on the peninsula, while the other part of the town stretches along the sea in a narrow strip of beaches, pine park and promenades. The Adriatic Highway passes through the city and it is connected by a regular bus service to the largest cities in Croatia.
The name of the town is derived from the word "water", because of the numerous springs of clean water in the region. Not far from the city there is a national park Krka and the natural park Vransko Jezero around the largest lake in Croatia.
Transit yachts can be moored either in the city harbor or in the ACI marina, located directly north-east of the city harbor.
